Churchmouse spreads the Claudia Hand Painted Yarns Love!

Churchmouse Yarns and Teas shares two favorite ways to use our Drama (sport-weight linen) yarn

The lovely staff at Churchmouse Yarns & Teas recently included TWO of their "favorite ways to use Claudia's sport-weight yarn" in an enewsletter to their customers. With their permission, here's what they shared:

Elegant and Versatile: Linen Stitch Wrap

The magic of knitted linen stitch plays out exquisitely in Claudia's Hand Painted "Drama" (Linen) yarn. We think it's perfect for our Linen Stitch Wrap project.

We've added two new colorways (shown below) to our project's collection, for a total of six. Each combines two variegated and one semi-solid color for a beautiful, integrated fabric.

We love the saturated punch and watery feel of Aquas (on the left) -- especially nice for warm weather -- and the quiet neutral feel of Greys (on the right) that, being partial to grey, we find pleasing any time of year!

The Wrap (shown below left in colorway Reds, and below right in colorway Plums) is made using an adaptation to our "Koigu Linen Stitch Scarf" pattern that changes the needle size, deletes the fringe, and increases the scarf to a wrap size. The supple drape of linen results in an elegant summer-evening stole; the artisanal yarn makes it unique as well as beautiful. And it's hard to believe it's not woven. We also like to wear it as a lavish scarf you can tie any number of ways. Dress it up or down, and enjoy the work of art around your shoulders.
